Tomato Sauce with Pasta
A basic yet divine mixture of red sanctity and carb-delivered joy.
Ingredients
- 400 g minced pork-beef meat
- 400 g pasta (preferably macaroni)
- 400 g canned tomato paste
- 2-4 tbsp tomato puree
- 1-2 medium onion, chopped
- 2-4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-3 tsp ground black pepper
- 1-3 tsp ground white pepper
- 2-5 tsp dried paprika powder
- 2-5 tsp curry powder
- 1-2 tsp dried oregano
- 2-5 tsp salt
Procedure
- Saute garlic and onion in some oil of choice
- Add minced meat, sear until browned
- Add spices except oregano, mix well
- Add tomato puree, let sear for 5 minutes while mixing
- Add canned tomato paste, let simmer while mixing periodically
- Cook pasta according to the instructions on the package
- Mix in dried oregano into the sauce
- Mix in the sauce into the pasta pot
Notes
- Use a pot larger than you think for the pasta
- The longer you let the sauce simmer the better, not recommended past 20 minutes
- A lot of the spice amounts are just an example, they can be also added to taste
